Headache is one of the most common issues in today’s world. Headache can be temporary and sometimes indicate serious underlying problem.
TYPES OF HEADACHES :
- Migraine Headaches- One sided, severe headache accompanied with sensitivity to sound and light, sometimes along with nausea and vomiting .
- Cluster Headaches – Stabbing headache on one side, usually behind the eye. This is common in women than men.
- Tension Headaches- Band like pressure around ths head. This often begins in afternoon or evening and produce steady pain.
LIST OF FOODS THAT CAN TRIGGER MIGRAINES:
- Fermented foods including pickles, soya sauce, Aged cheese, sour cream
- Chocolate and cocoa
- Organ meats that are salted, dried, smoked
- Alcohol, especially red wine
- Chicken livers
- Seasonings and flavor enhancers
- Preservatives in wine and dried fruits
- Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
MIGRAINE TRIGGERS:
- Environmental triggers – These include glare, bright lights, loud noise, strong orders, cigarette smoke and changes in temperature, weather or altitude.
- Hormonal triggers – These are experienced by women usually related to their menstrual cycle.
- Activity triggers – These include no exercise, inadequate or excessive sleep, eyestrain.
- Emotional triggers – these include anger, depression, fatigue, anxiety and stress.
- Dietary triggers- Include hunger and low blood sugar.
